Description: The objective of the “Uranium deposits of the western Athabasca Basin” field trip is to give participants an overview of the geological settings, alteration mineralogy, and geophysical signatures of the recent discoveries from the western Athabasca Basin through exploration site visits, outcrop and drill core observations, and evening lectures. This will be achieved through field excursions to the Triple R, Arrow, and Shea Creek uranium deposits of the western Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Dates: August 16th to August 19th, 2017
Starting Point: Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada
* Early departure from Fort McMurray on August 16th. Participants must travel to Fort McMurray (Alberta, Canada) on August 15th.
Ending Point: Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada
* Arrival in Fort McMurray on August 19th.
Participants: 12 participants
Cost: $ 2150.00 CAD
* Includes air travel from Fort McMurray – La Loche (round trip), field transportation, accommodation, all meals, and field trip guidebook.
