Description:  Recent advances in analytical techniques for minerals associated with hydrothermal alteration around porphyry deposits have made it possible to extend the size of alteration footprints and develop vectors towards mineralization. This course will focus on recent developments in the characterisation of the mineral chemistry of alteration footprints around porphyry deposits, and their implications for geochemical exploration
